Councillor John Finlay has welcomed the new DUP Ministerial team at Stormont.
Pictured with Nelson McCausland at a recent DUP Family Fun Day John congratulated Minister for Culture, Arts and Leisure Nelson McCausland on his new role.
John said:
"Nelson McCausland is an excellent man for the role of Minister Culture, Arts and Leisure. As an Ulster-Scots enthusiast and active member of the loyal orders he understands the needs of the Unionist community. I am confident he will be an excellent Minister along with newly appointed Minister for the Environment Edwin Poots and Junior Minister Robin Newton.
The DUP is committed to serving and delivering for the Unionist community. It is only through the institutions we have at Stormont that we can deliver most effectively for Unionism. Direct rule failed the Unionist people and offers no future for Unionism. Stopping an Irish Language Act, stopping the seven council model - which would re-partition Northern Ireland, freezing the regional rate and stopping Water Charges - saving the tax and rate payers of Northern Ireland money are some of our achievements so far.
This is all because local power is in the hands of local Ministers. I wish Nelson and all the new team well in fulfilling their new roles and know that they will be strong advocates for Unionism." said the DUP Councillor.
