FINLAY CONDEMNS NATIONALIST BEHAVIOUR IN RASHARKIN

Local DUP Councillor John Finlay has condemned the behaviour of nationalist protesters at tonights Rasharkin Parade. Petrol bombs, fireworks and projectiles including golf balls were thrown at the Police aimed at supporters attending the parade. He welcomed the behaviour of the bands and commended them for their good behaviour.

John Finlay who was on the scene said:

“Tonight I witnessed the bands competition in Rasharkin. I have to condemn the disgraceful behaviour of nationalist protesters who were determined to cause trouble and stir violence. 

The behaviour of the bands and their supporters has to be commended. The bandsmen and women, along with the supporters behaved with dignity and respect.

I wish to commend Ballymaconnelly band along with the marshalls for their hard work.” said the DUP councillor.
