DEVICE COULD HAVE SERIOUSLY INJURED SOMEONE: FINLAY

DUP Ballymoney Councillor John Finlay has said that the device left at Lavin Orange Hall, Drones Road, Co. Antrim could have seriously injured someone, or even killed a child.
The device was discovered on Tuesday morning left outside the Orange Hall.
Speaking today John said:
“This device could have seriously injured someone, or even killed a child.
The dissident republicans’ who clearly planned this attack offer nothing to society in Northern Ireland. They are filth and vermin existing within our society.
I want to praise the member of the public who reported the device as well as the PSNI and Army bomb disposal experts.
This device follows two attacks on Orange Halls in the Ballymoney area at the weekend. Both halls were attacked with a tractor.
This attack is yet another assault on the Protestant community in North Antrim. I call on all Protestants to stand shoulder to shoulder to stamp out such vile acts of sectarianism.
Republicans need to do more to make sure that those responsible are brought to justice. They know who did this and if they know anything about this planned attack they should come forward with information to help Police in their inquiries.” said the DUP councillor.
