FINLAY DEMANDS ACTION FROM ROADS SERVICE IN CLOGHMILLS

Local DUP Councillor John Finlay has demanded immediate action from Roads service in dealing with flooding that is dogging Mounthamilton Road in Cloghmills.
The issue has been raised with Roads service who have dismissed it as being a minor road not in need of urgent attention. This is an issue that is frustrating for local residents’ who have to put up with it everytime it rains. As we enter the winter months the problem will only get worse.
John Finlay has demanded urgent action in order to prevent further flooding.
John Finlay said:
“This has been an ongoing problem due to the wet summer we have had. It will only get worse into the winter and I am therefore calling upon the Roads service to deal with the issue immediately.
So far the response from Roads service has been inadequate and they have been slow to deal with this problem. They have written it off as not being a priority. This issue continues to dog residents’ in Cloghmills who have to put up with it while Roads service drag their heels.
I find their response incredibly frustrating as this issue needs to be dealt with immediately. I will continue to push this issue with Roads service in order to see that the situation is resolved immediately.” said the local DUP councillor.
