Finlay Condemns Attack on Home in Rasharkin

Cllr John Finlay has condemned an attack on the home of a Protestant in Rasharkin last night.

The front window was smashed just before midnight when the owners were inside.

John visited the family last night just after it happened.

Commenting John Finlay said:

"I totally condemn this attack on a Protestant family's home in Rasharkin. They are shaken and very disturbed at being targeted.

This is yet another example of ethnic cleansing going on in the village which Republicans deny.

This attack happened just before midnight. It is not even parading season and yet we see Protestants' under attack from Republicans. This is yet further evidence that Protestants' are not welcome in the village and are under threat from local Republicans who use the August parade as an excuse for their actions.

I appeal to anyone with information to bring it forward to the Police. It is vital that we catch those responsible for this latest attack." said the local DUP councillor.
