Cllr John Finlay has condemned the painting of 'Free Colin Duffy' over Rasharkin Orange Hall on Sunday night.
Residents' woke up this morning to seeing this painted over Rasharkin Orange Hall and are very concerned.
Speaking this morning John said:
"I totally condemn this latest attack on Rasharkin Orange Hall.
We are told that we only see these things happen during the summer months; however it is now the middle of October and yet again we see Rasharkin Orange Hall being attacked, this time slogans calling for a dissident IRA man to be released.
I am worried that there are dissidents operating within the area. This summer we had a sign stating: 'No PSNI welcome' beside a Republican bonfire. This is another worrying development.
Rasharkin Orange Hall is being used as a public notice board and it is totally deplorable. I call on those responsible to stop and call on Sinn Fein to do more within their community to prevent these sectarian attacks.
I appeal to anyone with information to contact the PSNI." he said.
